Hello, my name is Daniela Lekusheva, and I am a certified yoga teacher (CYT-200), dance meditation facilitator, and certified face yoga teacher (CYT-100). My first yoga experience was during my pregnancy in 2011 when I attended prenatal yoga classes. Later, I actively explored Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, aerial yoga, meditation, and breathwork practices, which helped me maintain inner balance and calmness during stressful periods.
I completed my CYT-200 Yoga Teacher Training in Sofia, driven by the sincere desire to help others lead healthier, more conscious lives. I see yoga as a pathway toward self-awareness and self-discovery. My classes blend stretching and toning asanas, concluding with active relaxation and mindful breathing.
I see yoga as the path toward myself that I’ve always searched for, and I’m truly grateful to have discovered it in my life. I sincerely believe that in today’s extremely dynamic and fast-paced world—which increasingly distances us from our true selves—yoga is the path to discovering, understanding, and expressing our authentic essence. I approach every yoga practice as an opportunity to learn a bit more about ourselves, touching upon different layers of our multifaceted nature each time.
In my classes, I combine stretching and toning asanas to improve flexibility, strengthen muscles, and relieve physical tension and fatigue. Each session concludes with active relaxation to calm the body and mind, focusing on mindful breathing and inner balance. I believe yoga practice should be enjoyable while gently encouraging us to push beyond our comfort zones, thus fostering personal growth.
Face yoga (CYT-100) emerged naturally as an extension of self-care—specifically caring for the part of us that reveals the most about our inner state and emotions: our face. Whether we like it or not, the face reflects our overall well-being and is how we present ourselves to the world. Specialized face yoga techniques, including exercises and gentle massage movements in the neck, head, and face areas, stimulate circulation, harmonize muscle function, and restore tone and vitality. This naturally leads to a feeling of ease, tranquility, and a refreshed appearance.
Outside of yoga…
I’ve been dancing since I was a child. At the age of five, I fell in love with classical ballet and attended a professional ballet school for over seven years. Later, I became part of the core ensemble of Ballet Diva, which led to numerous performances at concerts, festivals, sports, and private events both in Bulgaria and abroad.
A few years ago, I attended a dance meditation class. I went in with no expectations, and the experience was deeply transformative. During that session, I connected more deeply with my inner self and released many emotions I had been holding onto. I left feeling as if I had shed five kilos—there was a lightness and freedom in me. I felt happy.
I decided to become a facilitator because I want to help others reconnect with themselves and their bodies, to allow themselves to be exactly who they are, and to let go of the unnecessary burdens they’ve been carrying for years. In doing so, they can begin to live more lightly, freely, and authentically.
Currently, I am completing a certification course in the Lifestyle & Wellness Coaching Program at Harvard Medical School, with the intention of inspiring people to make lasting, healthy changes toward a lifestyle filled with balance and harmony. I am also involved in organizing seminars and training sessions in this field.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Information Systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” For over 15 years, I worked in the tech industry—first as a programmer and later as a business analyst. Despite my successful professional path, my inner calling for movement and self-expression through the body never faded.
Today, I see it as my mission to support people in making the necessary transformative changes within themselves—gently and sustainably—so they can live healthier, more mindful lives, full of ease, joy, and peace.
