My name is Jana and I am a Yogalates and Yoga through Pregnancy instructor for active women who love to take care of themselves.
I’ve always done a lot of different sports, but a while ago I discovered pilates and then yoga and found my place in the midst of all the movement.
Movement is my way of life and I am often told I can’t and don’t know how to rest. But actually it’s rest for me, and you probably feel a similar thing: during a workout, you can relax your mind – while tensing your muscles, you forget almost everything outside the gym, all the daily worries and concerns. And no matter how tired we are after practice, we always feel more refreshed and recharged with new vital energy.
I first attended a Pilates class due to a spinal curvature I have which, at a certain point in my life, caused me great pain. I felt like I had been reborn and for a long period of time it was my favorite type of workout.
I entered the yoga room driven by the desire to achieve peace in the hectic and stressful everyday life of a mother and working woman trying to balance family, work and personal time for herself.
That’s how I found my second favorite kind of practice. And I decided that I wanted to share with other women, like me, all that I had discovered about myself that made me feel good, look good, find peace. So my practices are set up to be accessible to everyone. You don’t have to be flexible to get into the yoga room. You don’t have to be able to stand on your hands or tie yourself in a complicated pose. I want to show you that indeed “movement is life,” not just a highfalutin phrase, and that stillness and relaxation are easily achieved with a little guidance and perseverance.
